Dear Mei, revise your first line as follows, setbb log '&1,kstnm& .split' As per the second line with an evaluation, there may be a issue. I tried to recreate the following example given on p.49 in SAC Primer and came across a similar problem. Perhaps SAC developers can provide an explanation. SAC Primer Example ---------------------------- SAC> setbb x 1 ;* set x to 1 SAC> message "sqrt (%x% + %x%) is (sqrt (%x% + %x%))" sqrt 2.000000 is 1.41421 My result on SAC 101.6 ---------… [more]

Hello, I am attempting to run a script that needs to set the blackboard variable for the beginning and end of both the east and north components of my files. I am wondering if anyone can help me with the following problem: After I installed the latest version of SAC (101.6 for X86-64) I found that a piece of my SAC macro codes didn't work and which worked and still works well in the older version of SAC (101.3b for X86-64). The piece of codes and their corresponding output the two versions of SAC are as the following: 101.3b version: setbb log " ( concatennate &1,kstnm& .split ) " message "%log%" HY16.split 101.6a version: setbb log " ( concate… [more]

Hello to all, I'm new to the mailing list, I'm a researcher from Pisa. Now my question in basically simple, but I don't think the answer will be the same. As I pointed out in the mail-object, I was wondering how I could get the FINAL date of the time series I've read in SAC 101.6a?? To make it clearer, if I use the "ppk" function and click over the last sample of the plot it appears on screen the relative date: how can I export that date from SAC? In the header I could get only the START DATE … [more]

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with writing a SAC macro that reads in multiple event files, and deletes any events that are beyond a certain epicentral distance away from the station. I have events with epicentral distances from 30-90 degrees; however, I want to kick out any events with epicentral distances greater than 85 degrees. Is there a way in SAC to kick out those events from 85-90 degrees that I don’t want? I have checked the SAC header files, and the DIST functions… [more]
